Frequently Asked Questions
COMMON QUESTIONS FOR THE DOCTOR
HOW MUCH IS A TICKET?
Tickets are $20 a person, at the site. We do not offer credit cards or online purchases currently. There is no charge for parking. No advanced ticket buying is available. All sales are final.
I'M UNDER THE AGE OF 16, CAN I COME?
Yes! We still allow you to come through the haunted trail, but you need to have parental/guardian supervision. Dr. Steamcap really does recommend children under 13 stay off of the trails, because they can be quite scarring. Please, do not drop off children alone at the site, they will not be admitted through.
HOW LONG IS THE TRAIL?
It takes about 30 minutes to complete the trail, when walking at a moderate pace.
CAN I USE MY PHONE?
We do not allow you to use your phone while you are on the trail. We also do not allow photos or additional flashlights / lighting on the trail. If we find you using your phone on the trail, we will escort you off of the premises without a refund. Using your phone on the trail ruins the experience for other people. Feel free to use your phone while waiting in line or after going through the trail though! You can tag us in your photos using #DrSteamcaps .
ARE YOU A TOUCH OR NO TOUCH ATTRACTION?
We currently are a no touch attraction. If any of our actors touch you, it is more than likely unintentional and was a mere accident. If someone does deliberately touch you while you go on the trail, please report it to our ticket takers and we will take appropriate action.
We also expect you to not touch the actors or our props. If you touch a prop on accident, please report it so we can ensure nothing is broken.
MAY I TOUCH THE PROPS?
No, you may not touch the props. If we find you touching the props, we will escort you off the premises without a refund. If you accidentally touch a prop, please report it to our ticket takers. We want to ensure none of the props are broken or a hazard, so everyone may have a complete experience while walking through the trail.
DO YOU SERVE ALCOHOL?
No, we do not serve alcohol or any other beverages. We also will not tolerate intoxicated persons on the premises. Dr. Steamcap wants to ensure a safe experience for all of his guests, and with the terrain of the trail, it could be hard to navigate while under the influence.
HOW DO I KNOW IF YOU'RE CLOSED?
If we close due to weather or other emergencies, we will notify everyone using our social media pages. A post will be made on our Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr pages. If there isn't a post on the social media page, we are open our normal hours; Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
IS IT SCARY?
Our intent is to scare you, startle you, and bring you something different in a haunted attraction to be experienced. We are a "series" attraction. Where each year you will be brought a new "chapter" of the story behind Dr. Steamcap's Collection of Freaks and Oddities. We are here to taunt and intrigue you. Every customer is different so what may scare some may not scare others.
To get the full experience of our attraction we want to remind you that there is a story behind Dr. Steamcap's Collection of Freak's and Oddities, that is on our Facebook and our website. This is based of true events.
WILL I BE ABLE TO LEAVE IF I GET SCARED OR FEEL I CANNOT CONTINUE FOR ANY REASON?
